What principles define how you live?
Know your worth but equally know when it’s worth fighting and when to let go.
Recently I discovered my contribution to a project was being attributed to someone else. Hurt was my initial reaction, then I was pissed off, then I realised that as unfair as it is – I did a lot of the work and not only was that was not acknowledged but someone else took the credit – it actually doesn’t impact me going forward.
I could object, highlight the fact, argue my point but I actually wouldn’t benefit from it beyond feeling I was in the right. It would be different if it impacted on my future or my income but actually it doesn’t.
So really, it’s not worth it. Some things in life are worth standing up for and others worth more for just letting go for your own sanity.

Sometimes it’s better to have peace than being right. Someone was shared a story about Mr Right who died defending his right of way and when he was buried his epitaph read, “Here lies Mr Right who died defending his right of way but he is dead right as though he was wrong.”
Yes, indeed. Sometimes it’s not worth the fight. My wife had her superior pass off a report she authored as his own but fortunately for her the recipients of the report demanded acknowledgment of her contribution.
Thanks for sharing.

You’re totally right. Sometimes fighting for that acknowledgment will hurt you more in the long run. We know what we’ve done in cases like this and whilst I’m not sure about karma I think sticking to your principles always wins out in the end.
